Paul, Born in Berkley California and grew up in Stockton, CA. I had known that I wanted to be a drummer since age 10. It was when I heard Peter Criss and his drum solo on 100,000 years on Kiss Alive. When I was 15 I got a job baggin' groceries and bought my first drum set. I played in a cover band in high school. My influences at the time were Less Binks Judas Priest,
Nico McBrain Iron Maiden, Lars Ulrich Metallica, Scott Rockenfield
Queensryche, and of course Bonham and Neil Peart. I took about a 13 year hiatus's but never lost the desire to play. During those years I expanded my listening taste to Blues Rock, Jazz and some good old Southern Rock . For the past five years or so I've been playing with various local musicians covering tunes from AC/DC to Zeppelin and of course Artimus Pyle & Lynyrd Skynyrd. I'm pretty much self taught, but I have had the privilege of taking a few lessons from a great drummer from San Francisco, Brian McCarthy, and just recently studied with drummer extraordinaire, Jimmy De Grasso. I play a Tama Star Classic Maple kit and primarily use Zildjian cymbals
