Pat was born in the Central California town of San Luis Obispo, and relocated later with his family to the San Francisco bay area
Pat had started playing at the age of 12, with an old classical guitar that belonged to his mother that he dug out of the garage. With only 3 strings left on it, his mom noticed that he was still able to play along with songs on the radio. So she figured it was time to buy him a new set of strings, show him how to put them on, gave him a pitch pipe and showed him some basic chords to get him started. At 14, his father bought him his first electric guitar and amp, and Pat has been playing ever since. A few of his influences include Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, U.F.O., and The Who.  Pat said he had always wanted to put together a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band but he could never find the right people to do it with. Then through a mutual friend from the Gregg Allman Band, guitarist Mark McGee. Pat & Mark had played together in Acoustica & The Mark McGee Band in the late nineties. So knowing Pats style of playing Mark recommended Pat for the guitar spot in The Gator Alley Band
